I am currently an Assistant Professor in the Deparment of Economics at St. John Fisher College. I joined the department in the Fall of 2013, after receiving my doctorate in economics from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor. My main area of research is in public finance with an emphasis on tax competition, corporate taxation, and state & local taxation. This has led to me to analyze policies such as the preferential taxation of corporate income by countries as well as the bottle deposit/refund systems in various US states.
